PRINT DESIGN: We designed the movie poster first which we used as our key art. The poster incorporates two plot points of the movie. The top third shows Mason Wyatt (Alan Powell) trying to rekindle a relationship with Shelby Haygood (Sarah Lancaster) by holding mistletoe over her head. The rest of the characters surround the couple as the cast sits atop the snow capped smokey mountain range. The focal point of the bottom third is the Haygood house, the center of the second plot point, sits in a wintry scene at the foot of The Smokey Mountain range. The direction from the client was to make the scene look snowy, but not too snowy since it was filmed in May and there isn't any snow in the entire movie. Evane Williams, (no relation) was the lead designer of the poster and did a fabulous job creating the scene and capturing the essence of the film.

MEDIA KIT: The media kit consisted of a three fold DVD package. The designed incorporated art from the poster and added elements foreshadowing additional plot points from the film such as the use of the preserves sold by the Haygoods and the concert poster & guitar used by Mason Wyatt during the benefit concert. I also wanted to give the package a country/cutesy look, similar to what you might see at Cracker Barrel. To achieve this I added ribbon, bows, retro wrapping paper and lots of polka dots. There nothing cutesier than polka dots. ;-)

We completed several video elements as well as print and web graphics. Below are samples of some of the elements created along with a case study of each. Enjoy
